Recent events with the war in the Ukraine have again shown us the importance of energy independence and its impact on national security. The attached video shows the vulnerability of our national grid to cybersecurity and physical attacks. To put energy security measures in place is of utmost importance.

Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and micro grids are part of the solution to a higher level of the nation’s energy independence and security. Energy avoidance is equally or more impactful as renewable energy generation when it comes to energy security and independence. Energy that does not have to be generated and supplied is as impactful as renewable.
